Ketchikan
We arrived about 10:00 PM on Saturday night. Our ship was not to arrive until Monday morning. This actually turned out to be a good thing because we got to see the town of Ketchikan without all the tourists.
This is the small hotel that Continental Airlines put us up in. It was really a nice place to stay and the people who ran it were very friendly. We plan to go back some time.
Herring Cove was a few miles out of town and we took a taxi out to see it. We were hoping to see some bears, but didn't get the chance. Bald Eagles were as thick as crows and I caught this one in flight. Wish the focus had been a little better.
To be so majestic when adults, Bald Eagles start out pretty darned ugly.
