Ketchikan

Deer Mountain is located in Ketchikan.  It is a fairly low mountain with a trail that goes to the top.  Terri and I had the time so we decided to hike to the top.  The trail is 2 1/2 miles long and goes up around 2000 ft.  Needless to say, we didn't make the top.  We did make it 1 mile and about a thousand feet up.  Here are a couple of pictures.

One half mile along the trail and I'm not sure I'm going any further.

Lots and lots of small waterfalls and streams.  Of course Terri thought I should take a picture of them all.

One mile along the trail at the first observation stop.  Beautiful view, but it's as far as we got.
